Today, some users experienced loading issues within our platform. The root cause was quickly tied back to our feedback application, which is commonly accessed by users via our Resource Center (?) icon at the top banner of the page. We have had a positive experience using this application and never had any issues. The vendor released a feedback feature that had a content policy block on it by Google Chrome. Such an issue is entirely outside the scope of the Filevine app. However, we are aware of the trust our users put in our decisions regarding all aspects of the system experience and we did all we could to remediate quickly.
Immediately: We have disabled the feedback application entirely across all environments as a precaution for the next few business days. We will re-enable when we feel confident in our users being unaffected.
Near term: We will be removing ourselves from any beta user group for the application to which we may have unintentionally been added. We will seek multiple layers of permissions around any change to that application. We will be considering alternatives with less potential for disruption
